"Daphne’s Drop-In" (Bracebridge)

The drop-in program helps to:

· reduce isolation
· encourage networking
· encourage mentorship
· build self-esteem
· build support systems
· offer healthy choices

The drop-in helps women to know that they are not alone, and that there are others who face the same challenges. It is an empowering project that brings women together in a mutually-supportive environment through life skills, education, workshops, speakers, videos, and discussions.

• weekly speakers present up-to-date topics
• meet other women to network and chat with
• enjoy refreshments
• make new friends
• woman of all ages are welcome to discuss and share their experiences in a relaxed, supportive environment
• professional staff and peer support workers offer support in an informal setting
• resources and information regarding women's issues are available

Goals:

· offer a safe place for women to meet
· support for all women
· build self-esteem

It's fun! It's educational! It's free!

The "Daphne's Drop-In" program is open most Monday mornings (except for holidays) from 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Childcare is available.
