How You Can Help Muskoka/Parry Sound Sexual Assault Services is a non-profit organization which operates through the efforts of staff and volunteers. We receive some "core" funding from the Ministry of the Attorney General and the Ministry of Health; but, fundraising activities are necessary in order to offer some programs and services.
Volunteer participation is, however, vital to the agency's existence. Without the incredible amount of time and effort offered by dedicated and caring woman in Muskoka and Parry Sound, the agency could not exist. If you wish to volunteer for our agency, please click "Contact Us" to find the contact information for the office in your area.
Please click to donate! Our ability to provide programs and services depends to a large extent on the continued generousity of our financial supporters.
To make a secure online donation (free of charge), please click on the "Canada Helps" link. Muskoka/Parry Sound Sexual Assault Services will provide charitable receipts for all donations.
Thank you!
You may also make a donation by sending a cheque or money order payable to: Muskoka/Parry Sound Sexual Assault Services, 7 William Street, Suite # 5, Parry Sound, Ontario. P2A 1V2
"Burning Bra" T-Shirts for Sale These t-shirts were donated as a fundraising initiative by a generous local feminist who is angered by the federal government’s cuts to the advocacy and research programs of the "Status of Women Canada". She designed the t-shirts to commemorate the "burning bra" - a symbol of feminist activism. The back of the t-shirts indicates that the sales proceeds will support women’s advocacy programs in Muskoka and Parry Sound.
Wearing this t-shirt not only identifies you as a feminist, but also indicates your opposition to the federal government funding cuts to women's advocacy and research initiatives. Buy one today - for you, or your favourite feminist friend!
Like other women’s organizations, our agency depends on the advocacy activities and research generated by the "Status of Women Canada", and our public education and outreach efforts are hampered without its solid national research and advocacy initiatives.
COST: $20.00 + $5.00 shipping (if mailing is required)
If interested, you can drop into the Bracebridge or Parry Sound office to pick up a t-shirt, or mail a cheque or money order to us, and we will send out the t-shirt to you.
